Three hundred and seventeen persons attended the medical camp organised by the Andheri RCC at the Shramik Vidyalaya, Meghwadi, Jogeshwari (East) on February 17.
While some went to the ophthalmologic and dental sections, others opted for general medical check-ups.

The camp was arranged by the RCC Committee under the Chairmanship of Sunny Pariyaram and Director Ramesh Narayan.
PP Dr. Rahim Muljiani and Dr. Sorab Javeri played key roles and gave invaluable support to help make the camp a success. While Dr. Priyanka Sarkar and Dr. Sagorika turned up from the Jain Clinics, Dr. Moin and Dr. Preeti from the Government Dental College Hospital also offered their services.
Two doctors from the neighbourhood, Dr. Bhogate and Dr. Khot, volunteered to lend a helping hand. As did three trained nurses, Mrs. Vaishnavi More, Mrs. Leela and Mrs. Rushali Salunkhe.
Walking sticks were given to 20 ageing and infirm senior citizens on the occasion. These were donated by Mr. Shreeram Mohite, General Manager (Finance) of M/s Borax Morarji Ltd.
Free medicines were dispensed to all the patients. Spectacles were given to 85 persons at a separate programme held one week after the camp. The names of 11 persons were noted down for cataract operations which would be offered to them in course of time either at the Doctor Eye Institute or at Lotus Eye Hospital.
Also present at the camp, apart from Sunny Pariyaram, were Mr. Shreeram Mohite of M/s Borax Morarji Ltd., Mr. Bhatia, a yoga teacher, Mr. Shailesh Parab, the local Corporator, Mrs. Pallavi Shah from the Doctor Eye Institute, Andheri, Mrs. Laxmi Kudalkar, the President of the Andheri RCC, several of its members and members of the women’s Self-Help Groups.
Tea, snacks and lunch were arranged for the doctors, nurses, technicians and RCC members at the medical camp, which was coordinated by the Club’s social worker, Mr. N.G. Sawant.
