Ambassadorial Scholars
Under the aegis of The Rotary Foundation, Rotary District. 3140 will be sending Ambassadorial Scholars abroad in the year 2010-2011.

The purpose of the programme is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical regions. This Rotary Foundation programme sponsors Scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students and also for professionals for pursuing vocational studies . While abroad, scholars serve as goodwill ambassadors to the host country and give presentations about our country, our Rotary District and our Club.

The Scholarship includes payment for round trip transportation, tuition and other fees, room and board. Eligibility Criteria is minimum 2 years of college/university or secondary school with 2 years of working experience.
Desired subjects of study include healthcare / food / medicine / youth / environmental studies / children /senior citizens / women literacy / hunger/ social studies among others.

Rotarians are not entitled but the candidate needs to be sponspored by a Rotary Club.
